Does not print properly, it prints like it's running out of ink, it skips, goes from light to dark.

I am sorry to hear of the print quality issue you are experiencing with our Remanufactured Dell R5956 cartridge. It sounds like the printhead on the cartridge may have gone dry. Please try the following method to see if we can get the cartridge working:
1. get a damp paper towel (use hot water), fold it into quarters and sit the cartridge print head down onto it.
2. let the cartridge sit for 3 mins
3. gently drag it across the paper towel a few times (you should see ink come out)
4. pat dry and reinstall
5. Once installed, run the print head cleaning cycle. You may have to run this 2-4 times before printing quality is reestablished.
If this method does not work, please contact our Customer Service team at 888-321-2552 M-F 6am-6pm PST or S 7am-4pm PST and a customer service representative will be happy to set you up with a reshipment or instruct you on how to send these back for a refund should you wish to do so.

I was skeptical at first but decided to give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and longevity of the cartridge. Also, I like saving money over the brand name and this seemed to last longer.

There only one thing that is wrong with the product is that my computer always tells me that I have no ink and I have to make sure that I extra refill handy.

This cartridge no longer works in my Dell AIO924 printer. I get the message "unsupported cartridge" and my only option is to cancel the print job. I had used this cartridge previously and got a "low ink level" message due to the missisng chip which was annoying, but I could continue printing then. My conclusion is that Dell has changed their driver for this printer and will not allow anything other than new Dell cartridges to be used.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Unfortuantely, most printing companies are trying to prevent third party cartridges from working properly in their printers. Once we discovered they had been sending firmware and blockages that are creating these error messages, our tech department researched and came up with a solution. So far this has done the trick for most of our customers. Take the cartridge out of the printer, turn the printer off, then unplug your machine from the back or from the wall, whichever is easiest for you. Allow your printer to power down for about 30 seconds. After 30 seconds is up, plug your machine back in, turn the power back on, and install your cartridge back into the printer. Before installing, try cleaning the contacts with Isopropyl alcohol also known as rubbing alcohol. Install the cartridge and print a document. The ink levels will read inaccurately do to the mechnisiums used to disrupt the cartridge functioning abilities. If the cartridge still is unable to be used please call 888-321-2552. All of our products are covered under a one year satisafaction guarantee. We maybe able to set up replacements if the problem continues.

The items are good in cost and the service is very fast. I only have a problem where they only work at times on my printer sometime they do and sometime they don't, at first I felt I ran out of ink so I write the date on them.

I received a number of cartridges in this order, but the Series 5 Black does NOT work. I've never had this problem with LD in the past and would like a replacement. I will send back the defective cartridge if you like.

I put in the cartridge and it does not register that it has ink. I guess it does not have chip. My Dell printer keeps on telling me I need a new cartridge.
Don't see anything without the chip.

We apologize in regards to the ink level monitor. Dell ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. Unfortunately the sensor cannot be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it will print fine but the sensor will always report low ink. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Your cartridge is under full warranty for one year from the purchase date. It will print a full life cycle just like the original. Please give us a call at 888-321-2552 if you experience any issues with the print quality.

I have a Dell printer. this is the first off brand(not dell) that i have bought. It does not leak. It prints very good. It does not cost as much as a dell. when it runs out, I will order some more.

Much better value than OEM product. Works just fine. The only thing that I wish could change would be to not have to manually tell the printer to continue printing because there's something about the design of the cartridge that makes the printer think that the ink cartridge is empty. But....at least the instructions about this are in the package so it's no surprise.

I have used LD replacement ink cartridges for my printer, for awhile now.. I haven't had any problems receiving or using the product.
The one concern is the message that the ink cartridges are low, even after you load a new cartridge. The printer cannot ascertain that a new filled cartridge has been loaded.

This is the second time I've purchased this product from you. The first purchase one of these I could not get to work, so I trashed it. With this purchase I'm trying to get the black cartridge to work and so far no luck. The wet towel doesn't seem to work to get the ink flowing, but I'll keep trying before I open the second one I purchased in this order. 50% fairlure rate doesn't hack it. I probably won't purchase from you again if I can't get this first black cartridge to work.

This can happen to cartridges with attached print heads such as the Dell R5956 ink cartridge. The issue as mentioned usually has to do with the print head of the cartridge not having any ink to feed it. This happens because cartridges are kept flat or upside down for weeks or months before being used and the ink settles away from the print head. The easiest remedy is to open the box and stand the cartridge upright for a few minutes before using. Then get a damp paper towel, fold it into quarters and sit the cartridge print head down onto it. Hold the cartridge down to the damp paper towel for three minutes. This will help pull the ink out of the print heads, priming them and getting them ready to print. Finally, install the cartridge into your printer and print a few test pages. If this does not correct the printing issue please call us at 1-888-465-7765 and LD Products would be glad to set up a replacement and return label free of charge for the defective ink.
