I have bought these before, but this time when I opend the cartridge, the ink leaked all over my hands. I guess I will be returning these and purchase oem

We have a one year 100% guarantee on all of our products. We are more than happy to send out replacements free of charge or, if you prefer, we would be more than happy take those cartridges back for a refund.
These cartridges are known to be sensitive at times. When opening them first pull off the pull tab and then turn the cartridge upside down in the palm of your hand and twist off the clip, also, holding the ends of the cartridge instead of the sides when installing them should keep them from leaking out.
Please contact our customer service team at 888-321-2552 M-F 6am-6pm PST or S 7am-4pm PST and a customer service representative will be happy to assist you with setting up a reshipment or instructing you on how to return them for a refund.

Leaked when opening cartridge and stopped printing blue for some reason on two pages after installation. Cleaned printing heads and then was fine.

To prevent the cartridge from leaking out onto you when installing, try holding the cartridges from the ends rather than the sides. Pull the yellow tab from the top of the cartridge, then turn it over the twist the protective orange cap off, and install.
When poor quality prints are the issue and simple cleaning functions inside the printer do not do the trick, try cleaning the carriage manually. Go ahead and take the cartridges out of the printer. Get some plastic gloves because some ink may get on your finger & hands. There should be a grey or black lever on the right side of the carriage. Lift up or down and take the carriage out of the printer. Now you will need to grab a paper towel, fold it in fourths and damp it with hot water. Grab a plastic bowel and place the wet paper towel inside. Blot the carriage onto the paper towel until the towel starts to become white again. You may need to change the damp paper towel a few times. Dry the carriage and install it back into the printer along with the cartridges. You can run a few print head cleans if you like but for the most part, your printer should print properly.
If this does not work for you please do not hesitate to call 888-321-2552 so that a representative can assist you with any issues you may have.

Both the Cyan and Photo Black replacement cartridges leaked out everywhere when opening.

after installing the cartridges in my printer I kept getting an alignment failure message even after multiple attempts. Never did get a copy.

We are sorry to hear about the issue you were having with the printer not recognizing the cartridge. I have included some instructions below which will usually fix recognition problems.
1. Please remove all the cartridges from your printer
2. Turn off your printer
3. Unplug the printer from the power outlet and leave it unplugged for about 3 minutes.
4. After the 3 minute wait, plug it back in and turn it back on and reinstall the cartridges.
If you still have problems please give us a call at 888-321-2552 and we will be happy to assist you.

I think you product is great. Sometimes when I put the cartridge in the first time I get a message that the cartridge is empty or broken. If I re insert the cartridge it works ok. Your cartridge always shows up on the screen as empty when I request to know the level of the ink. I call and you said that this is normal.
